Always the Rhoda
I'm going to take a minute from talking about my favorite subject to talking about one of my most hated subjects. If I put it out there then there is no turning back. RIGHT! Right? My name is Jessica and I am fat! Oh boy am I. Even in my thinner days I have always been the "Rhoda" and never the "Mary". Today was the first day of my new diet and I will admit I did pretty good today. I came in under all my counts and even managed the bite from a peanut butter Easter Bunnies ear. I'm not going to lie and say that it will be easy but the time has come to put down the Pringles and get off the couch! Fat and I have had a love hate relationship for almost as long as I can remember. I'll loose it and it creeps back. My last successful diet was when I got pregnant with Max. I have PCOS and in order to get pregnant with Max I changed my lifestyle and lost quite a bit of weight. It sounds so easy but trust me it was hard work and just over 2 1/2 years before I got pregnant with Max. I maintained a healthy pregnancy as far as my weight it concerned but the stress of having a preemie and postpartum was to much. Not to mention a glorious dessert called dump cake and I had a very intimate love affair each night at Maxwell's 2am feeding. Now it's time to fix it and fix it I will! Hopefully some day in the near future I will be writing back to you as the "Mary." Wish me luck!!!

I am so proud of you, Jessica! I'm right behind you every step of the way!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Jessica!! Me and my fat are long-time friends as well and I've been doing Weight Watchers for a few weeks now. It's sooooo hard with the PCOS to lose weight but it's slooooooowly coming off. If you need a support buddy let me know! I can use all the help I can get and everything is better with a buddy system! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck Jess! I know you can do it and your family is behind you 100%. Jacques Cousteau and I love you!!
ReplyDeleteYay for you, Jessica! I can't wait to meet your inner Mary!
