Here we are traveling to Texas to see some of our favorite people. I got an idea from my bestie Christie to take along our portable DVD player. Good Idea! The ride down to Texas got a little rough at points. My dad went with us because Jeff was stuck in town since he couldn't get off work on Friday. Dad made me ignore Max after we had fed him, gave him a drink and toys. Finally he fell asleep for the last 45 minutes. We arrived in Texas unloaded the car and went to lunch. Uncle Brian wanted to go to a hibachi grill. We drove around and found one and Max loved it. He ate it up including Uncle Brian's "yuckies" (zucchini). After that it was a nice relaxing weekend. Nothing major planned just how I like it. My sister and I went shopping a little and my AWESOME nephews and niece helped out with Max. Emma was the only one who could get him to nap while we were gone. Thanks Em! It was really fun and a great Labor Day.
Maxwell loved the grill, especially when the chef made the flames shoot up!
Sadly my computer died while I was gone in Texas. I had a really cute video of Max cracking up over my sisters dog Saddie. Unfortunately I cant upload the video now because I'm having to post from work. Don't judge, I'm a great multi tasker! However, the still images will have to convey the fun Max had.
The drive home was great. Max fell asleep before we even hit the interstate and was an angel the entire way. It may have something to do with the fact that he woke up at 6:30 and just ate a big lunch. He really is such a good boy.
