We had Max's birthday party, and he had his one year pictures taken yesterday. He is officially a one year old toddler. This time last year he was still in the hospital and we didn't even know when he was going to get to come home. I have been really sentimental lately, but Jeff and I really need to count ourselves lucky. Yes, Max did come as a surprise 6 weeks early. And yes, he did have to spend 10 days in the NICU. But he didn't get worse while in the hospital and even though it was slow he showed improvement every day. Some families pray for what we have. And while I'm feeling so sentimental I feel truly blessed that my family has come this far...Enough of this gooey stuff now. Max did have his picture taken yesterday and of course I'm biased, but they are so cute!
