Up Up & Away!
BIG UPDATE! Max pulled himself up on Saturday!!! He is also using his knees more while he is doing his army crawl. I came home form work on Saturday and Jeff had a surprise. He had Max playing with his activity table and told me to watch him. Then up see daisy he pulled himself up. I'm so proud of him! Also yesterday Sooner Start came out. They were happy to hear about him pulling up and some of the progress he is making. We worked on sitting and getting Max to crawl on his knees. They gave me so pointers on ways to get Max on his knees. We also worked on standing. Max has been having some problems standing because he keeps turning his feet and ankles in. Turns out after talking to Tina that this runs in her family and Jeff actually had the same problem and had to wear inserts and special shoes. I need to take Max to an orthopedists and have him fitted for braces that will help him walk and stand. Also since Max failed his last hearing test again we have to go see a hearing specialist in Moore to have more tests done. I'll keep you updated though. Also I have been feeling like my little man is getting to big to fast. Now he is pulling himself up and as of this last weekend he is off the bottle. Where has the time gone?
Jeff and I are both doing well. Jeff has recovered from the Star Wars show at the Ford Center. He doesn't work again until the November 4th when ACDCcomes to town. He and I both getting excited for our couples weekend coming up next weekend. We are going to Dallas and my fabulous sister is going to watch Max for us. I cant wait! Also Halloween is coming up and we will be going downtown to trick or treat. Max was going to be a banana originally but that didn't work out. Know he has the cutest little costume. He is going to be a gnome. He has a beard and everything. Hopefully he will wear is and if he wont hopefully he will let me take a picture of him with it on. I'll post Halloween pictures as soon as I get them.

The Brown's are on the mend!
I think in general the Brown's are back! Max's ears seem better and he just cut another tooth. Also Sooner Start came out for Maxwell's first session. For those of you who don't know Sooner Start is a state run program for children between birth and 3 years old. It basically helps children that are having delays (speech, social, developmental etc.) get on track. It keeps them on track and identify possible problems. We set a short term goal of having Max walking short distances without help in the next 6 months. This session was pretty much a meet and greet between Max and I with his worker. She is very nice and sweet. Our next session is on Tuesday so I'll update you all more then.
I'm also feeling better. The shingles are almost completely gone and it looks like there wont be any scars left behind, from that. The Sweet's is also gone and the infection that was in my arm has cleared up. The doctor did say that there is going to be discoloration on my arm for the next couple of months. I'm a little worried there are going to be scars left behind from the Sweets though. Oh yeah I almost forgot, the ulcer I got from all the medicine I was taking is also healing up nicely.
Jeff has started picking up some events at the Ford Center. Just last night he worked Star Wars. He has told Max that he is never allowed to watch anything Star Wars. I guess he kept getting hit with light sabers and what is worse about it wasn't children but 30 year old men that were hitting him. Jeff is feeling a tad bit under the weather the past few days, but hopefully it is just the weather changing. I hope you all are not to tired from reading this long of an update. I'm excited for Halloween and ready to show off my little man!

Only Time Will Tell
I have no cute pictures to post this time. The family has been sick lately and we all know that no one needs to see pictures of people feeling miserable. Max got the flu from his Grannie. He is finally getting over it. Also due to his drainage from being sick he had the beginnings of an ear infection. He is on the mend however. Jeff luckily never really got sick. I on the other hand am a very different story. I caught the flu from Max. While at home I had been dealing with something on my ear that hurt and was starting to spread. I went to the doctor and it turns out I have shingles!!! As if this was not bad enough the shingles on my arm became infected. The infection became so bad that last night I had to go to the ER. I got more medicine and NOW I'm hoping that I am on the mend too. Only time will tell.

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Some of you may know that yesterday was my birthday. I'm officially another year older, but I'm not sure about being any wiser. It was a fun day overall. First I went to work and a coworker bought me lunch, mmm Mcalisters. Then after I got off work Max and I had a play date with Kacee and Nicholas. The kids had so much fun. There were bubbles, books, snacks and more! It was really fun to see the kids together. They ran circles around Max!!! Some of you who follow my friend Christie's blog can see some extra pictures too. Warning some are not intended for young audiences however. At Max's birthday party Nicholas and Kacee were sweet on each other. Yesterday however Max was almost a third wheel at one point!!! Max was content eating some animal cookies while Nicholas and Kacee shared some books and kissing on the couch. Lock up your daughters people! After all the kids were completely tuckered out we headed to go eat at Ted's. Those of you who don't know I personally think this is the BEST Mexican food. On the way to go eat and after dinner you could tell it as my birthday because Jeff let me play the soundtrack to Rent in the car. And I got to sing at the top of my lungs the entire time. It's the little things that remind me how sweet Jeff can be. For those who don't know Jeff despises musicals. What a man I have!!!Saturday, September 26, 2009

Dinner Dance
Max has started doing what Jeff and I have been calling the "dinner dance." Every time he takes a bite he throws his hands in the air and starts waving. He then proceeds to rub whatever food is left on his hands all over his face. Maybe it's because I'm his mommy but it is so adorable!

Thnaks for the pj's Nicholas!
Max Got some new pj's from his friend Nicolas. Nicolas didn't like them so we have inherited them. I think Max was confused by the feet in them. He hasn't had on long pajamas in a long time. He did get used to them pretty fast though. Thanks Nicholas for the new pajamas! Also after breakfast today I decided that I am starting something new. I figure it is never to early to start good habits so we attempted hand washing after he ate. It was a good attempt. He couldn't figure out how to catch the water coming out of the faucet though.
