I know that I have been gone a while and some of you may be wanting to know how the bed switch went. After 10 sleepless days for everyone involved I broke down and put the crib back together. Max was not sleeping. He was taking forever to go to sleep, walking up about 3 hours early and not napping. Makes for a VERY grumpy Max. The time just was not right and we decided to bring back the crib. After I got the rail back on and put Max in bed it took all of 3 minutes for Max to fall asleep. Jeff had to wake him up the next morning at 10 and then he still took a 3 hour nap that I had to wake him up from. He wasn't getting enough sleep and some people may not agree but this is what is working for us. I'm not sure if he just wasn't ready or maybe has something to do with his special needs but at least we are back to normal and everyone including Jeff and I are in better moods.
Here is a picture that Jeff sent me when Max fell asleep at the table during lunch. So tired but still would not nap when Jeff tried to lay him down, ugh!

Sometimes, it's whatever takes! Sleep is important! Glad you guys figured it out.
