Max has become a funky foodie. He is getting very particular. Since he still has such a hard time holding silverware Jeff and I still strip Max down to a diaper when he eats so we don't ruin our clothes, well we do when we are at home at least. He has gotten to where he doesn't like to eat much meat. He eats soy fine so who knows maybe he is channeling a little of his daddy. Last weekend Jeff took Max to something downtown with the Thunder and was late getting back so he grabbed them dinner. He went to Taco Bueno and got Max a mexi dip and chips. I don't like Taco Bueno but Max sure did. Beans, cheese and guacamole where everywhere!
Then last night after Sesame Street Live we grabbed sandwiches from Quiznos. Max and I shared a French dip, notice the roast beef that he picked off the sandwich? Any way he loves to dip things, he probably gets it from me, but he began dipping his Teddy Grahams in the au jus. Not just once but several times. Then he ate all of his dinner (minus the meat) and was grunting signing "eat" at me. I ask "do you want a drink" and he continues to sign and grunt. I give him the au jus and he DRINKS it! Again several times ending with an "ahh" after each drink. Maybe all of this is from the crazy food I ate while I was pregnant. It's now having adverse effects. I'm still a wired eater too. While I was pregnant some of my favorite things were corn dogs with guacamole, Cheetos with ranch dip and the list goes on. The kid has no chance growing up with a picky vegetarian for a dad and a wacky eating mom!
