Christmas is almost here and the Brown house is brimming with excitement and about to explode! I have always loved Christmas but it seems like that now that Max is here it's even better. Reliving our childhood again has been fun for both Jeff and I. I have some surprises in store for both of my boys that I have to keep on the down low for now but soon you will get to see. Jeff and I couldn't wait any longer to open a present and I was excited for Jeff to see what Maxwell got his daddy. So like a 4 year old begging to open a gift early we gave in to ourselves and opened our gifts from Max. I got these... Yes, 12 pairs of toe socks! I love them. Jeff picked the item and Maxwell picked the actual socks.
I gave Maxwell 4 options and this is what he picked.
Father like son I guess. There is a story behind the gnome. When Jeff and I first got married somewhere he got a gnome that he thought was hilarious. Well unfortunately that broke and was in pieces in our garage until recently. Jeff kept thinking he could glue it back together but never did. So walking down the aisle of Hobby Lobby Max and I stumbled across this. I had already gotten something from Max but admittedly it wasn't great. It was like a light bulb going off when I saw the gnome. I let Max pick between several and this is the one he picked so who am I to argue with what he wants to get his daddy.
One of the traditions I started was getting Max a Hallmark ornament every year since he was born. I thought you might be interested in seeing them. There is no theme just that they are the Keepsake ornaments from Hallmark.

Tonight is Christmas with my family and it will be the kickoff to the festivities for the year. We are having a snack food potluck (I'm bringing the 5 layer dip). And exchanging gifts including a Dirty Santa exchange. I'll let you know how Jeff and I fair. Plus I'm really excited because my days off fall on Christmas this year. Luck of the draw and I couldn't be happier about it!!! I hope the holiday season is everything you want it to be and more!
