The Brown family had one crazy weekend! It all started pretty normal I went to work on Friday and my dad watched Max as usual. I got home from work and Max was lethargic and whimpering in my dad's lap. Max had just woken up from a nap. My dad said that he seemed a like he was getting sick before he laid down. Jeff actually gave Max some Benadryl because we thought he was having some allergies. I picked up Max and he was burning up so I took his temp and it was 105.7! I gave him some Motrin and called the doctor. They called back and wanted him to come in immediately. I took him in and they ran some tests like swine flu and RSV. Both came back negative and the doctor decided to do one last test for strep. While we were waiting for the test results on that I was holding Max and I thought he fell asleep. He started shaking. Nothing major but enough that I went into the hall and got the doctor. Dr Edgmon took Max from me laid him on the table. He started vomiting while having his seizure and aspirated into his lungs. The seizure lasted the longest 13 minutes of my life! He had to be transported by ambulance and ended up having to stay in the hospital. Several test later I think Max will be okay with no side effects. He is just fighting off the last of the stomach virus and was kind enough to give it to me and a few other people. I think we might be on the mend but I don't want to speak to soon. A big thanks to everyone that has been thinking about us and as always I'll try to keep you posted. Side note I'm so glad to find out my grandparents in Illinois have been able to find the blog. Hello Grandma and Grandpa Dunn, we love you and be safe!Monday, January 25, 2010
